Signing in

The three doors into CommonLynk, and what to do when a password stops working.

CommonLynk keeps two sign in pages apart on purpose, because they are for two different jobs. Knowing which one you want saves a lot of confusion.

Two places to sign in

  • Your workspace is where the day to day work happens: registering people, running activities, taking attendance and reading reports.
  • Your account portal is where the person who pays for the subscription manages the plan, the billing details and the invoices.

Your workspace

Go to your own workspace address and you will see a page headed "Sign in to your workspace". It asks for a username and a password. This is not your email address: it is the username created for you when your account was set up.

If you were invited by a colleague, you set your own password from the link in the invitation email. Nobody else ever sets a password on your behalf.

Your account portal

The account portal sign in page is headed "Sign in to your account" and offers two ways in from the same email box. Choose "Password" to sign in with a password, or choose "Email code" and we will send you a six digit code instead.

Forgotten passwords

Both pages carry a "Forgot password?" link. Enter your email address and we send you a link to choose a new password. The same page serves every door, so you do not need to remember which one you started from.

For your protection the sign in page gives the same message whether or not an address is registered with us, and repeated failed attempts are slowed down.
